This Thursday, Friday and Saturday!! - February 14, 15 and 16!!
Lemon Bay Garden Club was established in 1959 by community minded, garden loving, artistically talented women with the aim of giving back to the community. We encourage the study and practice of horticulture, landscape design, and floral design; aid in the beautification of the town of Englewood; and help protect and conserve natural resources. The club provides both financial and hands-on support to a variety of municipal, educational, and environmental organizations throughout the region.
Our income is derived from the sale of plants cultivated by members, cards and crafts designed by members, community fundraising projects, individual donations, and grants from the community.
As a relative newcomer to Englewood, I am continually impressed with all the folks I’ve met through the Garden Club. We are a pretty incredible group with diverse talents and broad interests. I’ve found many new friends who have become comfortable old friends. We are kindred spirits bound by the love and friendship of the Lemon Bay Garden Club.
My post-pacemaker installation philosophy: Life is short — its all good — don’t waste it! We have many opportunities to help others every day — let’s be sure to pay it forward and let the new adventures begin.
Thank you for your support, encouragement, and friendship.
Christine Hannula President 2017-2019
